Josh's remarkable paintings are the result of a talented, practiced hand and a deep understanding of his subjects gained through the careful study of
animals and nature. Josh travels the world to research his
paintings, taking thousands of reference photos. You will find a sampling of his recent adventures below.

Josh with his wife, Heather, and son, Sam, in March 2009 with Hunters Namibia Safaris.

Josh with artist Patrick Mavros in his studio in Harare, Zimbabwe in April of 2009. Mr. Mavros' work is ardently collected by many of the world's most
recognizable individuals and is heralded as being at the forefront of contemporary design and sculpture in silver.

Friend and Professional Hunter, Jofie Lamprecht, looking for a Sable. Often, the only way to get a good look of an area was to find an elevated position
and trees were often the only choice.

Example reference photos. During a recent trip to Namibia and Zimbabwe, Josh took nearly 5,000 photos of different animals and
landscapes.
